Damn we’re here already!?

First and foremost, apologies for the lack of posting these past few weeks. I’ve been pretty busy – my job really requires me to lock in during the holidays with how hectic things get. I also recently caught a cold, which i’m still recovering from. Any little time off I’ve had has gone toward either resting or just catching up with life itself. Thankfully, I was able to carve out some time to finally type this up.

We literally have a week left in the year, and with that comes both the pressure and the joy of the holidays. For many, it’s a time of celebration; and for others, it’s a moment to look back on everything that’s happened throughout the year. The holidays are often associated with joy and happiness, but unfortunately that’s not the case for everyone. That feeling is commonly referred to as the “holiday blues.” As someone who’s experienced this in the past, I know how difficult this season can be to navigate. I’m grateful to say the past few years have been a bit kinder to me, and the blues haven’t been as prevalent-but that doesn’t mean others aren’t still going through it. On a brighter note, I’m happy to say I already have a lot in the works for next year. I’ll be letting you in on what i’ve been cooking. Right now i’m working on my end-of-year lists, including my favorite 100 songs of 2025 and my top 10 albums of the year. I’ve also already decided which artist is getting the next spotlight-no spoilers just yet. A$AP Rocky is dropping a new album on January 16th, so take a wild guess at what we’ll be reviewing. Fingers crossed there are no delays.

Behind the scenes, I’ve also been working on this Xmas playlist. It features some of my favorite holiday tracks, mixed with some songs that give Xmas-even if they’re not technically Xmas songs. You get what i’m saying. Hope y’all enjoy.
